In 1989 Julissa called for auditions hundreds of kids between the ages of 8 and 10. Her purpose was to create a musical group under the Grease format, formed by 10 kids.

And so was born "Vaselina Show 89", whose debut was at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Mexico City during matinees, followed by presentations at the Teatro Blanquita and a national tour. The discographical formation of the group that would soon be known to all as Onda Vaselina was on its way.

A group originally formed by Oscar Schwebel, Anna Borrás, Ariatna Martínez, Rodrigo Alvarez, M´Balia Marichal, Erika Saba, Luis García, Daniel Vázquez and Ari Borovoy.

The 7 shows corresponding to the group's 7 albums were produced and directed by Julissa. Along its 11 year duration, La Onda Vaselina received for its sales 15 golden discs and 8 platinum discs between Mexico, Spain and the USA.
